Asterion

Asterion is one of numerous water deities in Greek mythology. It was believed that all springs, rivers and seas emanated from them. They were like the heart and soul of water, flowing in different directions and branches like in an arterial system, but always meeting again at the centre, the heart Asterion - represented by this magnificent aquamarine.
