Garden of Eden

This is the mother of all snakes, an allegory of temptation. But how do we look at the ejection from paradise? Is it not the beginning of a self-determined life in personal responsibility, as a kind of growing out of a sheltered childhood? That is up to each person. The apples from the neighbour's garden do taste especially sweet, and some temptations can be indulged without a guilty conscience!
