"The world ends behind the hedge", Spike's parents used to say. But Spike had always been the most curious hedgehog in the litter. One night, he spontaneously began to climb up the impenetrable thicket. High up, he finally reached a gap in the foliage. His eyes widened. An unfamiliar garden lay before him in the moonlight. A sound made him look down. Directly below him at the foot of the hedge stood a hedgehog girl. Their eyes met and Spike's heart felt strangely weightless
